The difference in these chatbots are:

The flow builder chatbot is built based on a dialog flow.  It’s programmed to ask questions and provide information based on the response to those questions.  This can include asking about business hours, location information, a list of products and service to sending an email.  The bot will ask questions and will direct you to the appropriate information within or can forward you users to a certain page depending on the response.  This bot operates in a flow like mode.  Below is an example of how a programmed dialog flow builder bot looks like in terms of programming.

The AI ChatGPT style chatbot will answer questions based on some information it’s been ‘trained’ with, but will also answer questions about virtually anything else you ask it as well with having an open dialog with your website visitor.  This can be good or bad as it can provide information about competitors that you may not want to disclose to your visitor.  For instance, if you own a restaurant and the visitor has been talking about your restaurant and then asks the bot “What are some other good places to eat at in City, State?” then it will provide a list of other restaurants in the area, but will always recommend yours first over the others but will still provide the OTHER information to your visitor.  Below is how an AI programmed bot looks like that provides a more natural and less robotic speech and provides information and can also ask questions to collect information from your visitors.  The conversations can be emailed to you upon completion of the chat.  You can demo an AI chatbot on this page.  This has some basic programming just so you can get an idea of how natural the bot is and so you can get some examples.  We feed the AI bot a bunch of information and context and we continue to customize it to make sure it’s perfect and works exactly how you would like it to.  These bots require fine tuning, but are more flexible and more natural.
